    • Thanks for your email message. We do not have a Maui store. Since we are only on Oahu, you must stay on this island long enough to visit us. We are very unique. There are many stores selling Hawaiian quilts but they are all made overseas, usually in the Phillippines. We specialize in the making of Hawaiian quilts, so everything in our shop is made in Hawaii. Please consider staying on Oahu just for a day, so you can visit us. Mahalo, Kathy
  • とてもよかった。突然行ってもキルトを習いたいと未熟な英語で話したら一生懸命聞いてくれて（お昼にもかかわらず）２時間授業をしてもらいました。水曜日に行ったのですが本当なら週１回の所を「ハワイにいる間にクッションを完成しましょう」といってくれて金曜、次の週の月曜、水曜、木曜の５回レッスンに行きました。月曜の生徒さんと水曜の生徒さんは日本人でご主人の仕事で滞在している方が多く仲良くなってアドレスの交換もしました。５回目の木曜は夜のクラスしかなかったにもかかわらず「とくべつよ」と言って夕方私につきあってクッションを完成させて無事金曜日に帰国できました。今回はハワイアンキルトを習う事を目的に行ったのですごく充実していました。本物のハワイアンキルトを習いいろいろなショップでやすく売られているキルトは殆どがフィリピンで作られていることも知りベッドカバーが２０００ドルで高いと思ったらキャシー先生の作るのは４０００ドル以上と聞きナットク！先生もまた「ハワイに来たら必ずここにも来るのよ！ベッドカバー作っておいで」なんて言ってくれるし、生徒さんも「今度来たら私の家に泊まりに来て」とか「私はラスベガスに住んでいるけどあなたにあわせてはわいにくるわ」あと「日本に帰ったら家が近いので会いましょう」など１０日間でキルトを通して素敵な人たちに会えました。もちろん日本人ばかりでなくハワイの人も素敵でした（私が英語が話せないので聞くだけで精一杯でしたが道を歩いていたら声を掛けてくれ誰？と思ったらキルトで一緒の人だ！なんか行って良かったって思いました。家に帰るとキャシー先生から早速メールが届いていて感激、、、、とても暖かい人柄でかわいいお孫さんたち囲まれたアットホームなお店です。またハワイに行ったら最初にキャシー先生に会いに行きます。とにかくキルトに興味があればここが１番だと思います。ロイアルハワイアンＳＣもみましたが手取り足取り教えてくれるのはここです。１時間１０＄ですが決して高くはないです。言葉がわからなくても以心伝心というかわかってきます。ワイキキからカイムキトロリーの乗ってココヘッドで降りると直ぐです。トロリーの地図を見ると遠くにありそうですが　バス停から徒歩２分位です。(kumiko)

  • 今回はキルトのタペストリーを購入させてもらいました。新築の家に飾ろうと思っています。コアの木の棒も一緒に買っていって、飛行機が心配でしたが、スチュワーデスさんが機内の邪魔にならないところに置いておいてくれたのでよかったです。タペストリーは先回見たときよりも安くなっていたので嬉しかった。ワイキキよりも安いので、ドライブがてらに足を運んでもいいのではないでしょうか？ 安くて雰囲気がいい店です。キルトを買うなら迷わずここへ行きましょう。(としなつ)

    • Aloha from Hawaii, Hawaiian quilts are expensive because they are made by hand and take a very long time to make. In Hawaii, the quilts are made by artists who love doing the work and their pride is shown in the exquisite evenness of the stitches and the overall quality of the materials and workmanship. Wallhangings in our shop start at about 20" square. Some are framed in koa wood. The cost of a framed piece about 24" square would be $500.00. Other shops sell Hawaiian quilts that are made overseas, are inexpensive, and poor in quality and workmanship. I recommend that you look for a Hawaiian-made quilt that will retain its value in the future. At Kwilts 'n Koa, custom orders are welcomed.
