 The 16th Annual Honolulu Festival will be held March 13-14, 2010 at various locations in Honolulu and Waikiki. The Festival's theme, "Pacific Harmony," reflects the Foundation's vision to share the many cultures of the Pacific region with the people of Hawaii and those visiting from all over the world. Hawaii's premier cultural festival, the 16th Annual Honolulu Festival, will highlight the people and diversity of Asia-Pacific through an impressive showcase of arts, culture, and entertainment - all of which is free to the public. The participating performers for the 16th Annual Honolulu Festival come from various regions and countries around the world including Hawaii, Japan, Philippines, Korea, People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Tahiti, Alaska, and the U.S. Mainland. Their performances vary from traditional and modern dance and music to arts and crafts. There is so much to see and do. Join in and watch the live performances on March 13th and March 14th at four different venues: Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Waikiki Beach Walk and Waikiki Shopping Plaza. The Honolulu Festival concludes with a Grand Parade through the streets of Waikiki on the afternoon of March 14th. Aloha! We are having a special for the month of March. Students who transfer to Academia in March do not have to pay the $100 registration fee! Also, if you are a current Academia student, and you refer a friend to our school, you and your friend will receive one month of free tuition. Transfer students do not need to start in March, but they do have to register and pay by March 31, 2010. Regular referral bonus policies still apply. SUPERBOWL SUNDAY at THE SHACK!!! Every year, Americans get together to celebrate one of the year’s most exciting events: Superbowl Sunday! This year we are celebrating at the Shack in Waikiki. Come early at 12:30 because seats are limited. The game starts at 1:30. Call Brandon if you have questions, and sign up outside of Larry’s office to reserve your seat. Don’t miss out!

This past Saturday, January 23, ten students and staff met up at Ka Restaurant & Lounge, which turns into a club at night. Those who signed up got into the club for free and enjoyed free drinks until 11 p.m. It was a great opportunity to mingle and dance with locals and experience the night scene in Hawaii.

This Saturday, January 23, we are having a club night at Ka Restaurant and Lounge, located on the 2nd floor of Ward Center (opposite end from Paparazzi and Ryan’s Grill).
